Weblogs: Get Started!
In Chapter 3 of our Will Richardson text, he goes into detail about the steps needed to start blogging in the classroom. He suggests teacher begin blogging in the own lives and become familiarized with it benefits and uses before implemented it in the classroom. However, teacher will always be able to continue their learning with the students when using blogs. Blog safety and responsiblity is also important and expectations and reasons for blogging should be clear to students, parents, and administrators. There are many websites provided in the chapter for setting up blogs and great examples. To get started blogging is simple and can be done with little stress or confusion.
